The Liberty men's basketball team clinched a No. 5 seed in the 2012 Big South Championship, defeating Campbell on Saturday, 49-41. Living in an apartment in Lynchburg, and being a Flames fan, called for a celebration on Saturday!

With the victory, the Flames finish the season 14-17 overall and 9-9 Big South and are set to face No. 4 seed Charleston Southern in the quarterfinals, on Wednesday. Campbell concludes the regular season at 17-14 overall and 11-6 in the Big South.

The Flames head to Asheville, N.C. for the 2012 Big South Championship to take on No. 4 Charleston Southern on Wednesday. Official seedings and game times will be announced later tonight by the conference office.

The Polar Plunge will take place on February 25 from 11am-2pm at Camp Hydaway Lake, located up the mountain from Liberty University.

Special Olympics is a nationwide program for kids and adults with intellectual disabilities.  There are over 10,000 Special Olympics athletes in Virginia.

The Special Olympics organization provides athletic training and competitions in various sports all year round free of charge.  The large base of volunteers help with everything from office work to mentoring athletes.
