Grab WPA RSS FeedHello Walden Pond! Are you ready for some football? Liberty University opens their 2010 campaign here in Lynchburg on Saturday, but it will be unfamiliar territory for the fighting Flames as the new press tower at Williams Stadium isn’t complete yet.
That means the matchup against St. Francis, Pa., will be played at Lynchburg City Stadium, home of the Hillcats minor league baseball team and the football programs from Heritage and E.C. Glass High School. How that will affect the game is anyone’s guess but coming off a successful season that ended too early, the players at Liberty are eager to get back out onto any field.
