American Globe Society & Omniterrum to Open New Museum

12-Jan-2012 The American Globe Preservation Society and Omniterrum are pleased to announce the creation of a Globe Museum Downtown Lynchburg. We are joining forces to offer a permanent location dedicated to the display and preservation of globes and related planetary from around the world spanning 4 centuries. The museum will feature a vast variety of globes including terrestrial and celestial globes as well as lunar, Mars and other tellurian orbs. The collection will include models from the 16th century and as current as today.
