We know it is April 1, but if you live in an apartment in Lynchburg, VA you probably count the days before Liberty football starts up again. Well we have good news, the strong>Liberty 2013 football schedule has been released and our team has seven home football games in their football
schedule for only the fourth time in the Flames history.
The FBS/FCS football scene is constantly changing and there is now the opportunity to play a 12-game schedule. So seven home games gives you, the fans, a lot to cheer about. The Flames' home games includes non-conference matchups with Brevard, Kentucky Wesleyan, Monmouth and Morgan State, plus Big South battles with Coastal Carolina, Presbyterian College and VMI.
Additionally, Liberty's 2013 non-conference road schedule will feature matchups with Kent State, Richmond and Old Dominion. The three programs finished the 2012 season with a combined 30-8 overall record, two conference titles and a 21-3 record in their respective conference schedules.
Liberty will open the season on Thursday night, Aug. 29, with a matchup against Kent State in Kent, Ohio.
