If you have a dog who lives with you in your apartment in Lynchburg, VA then you have probably been to our brand new dog park. The Lynchburg dog park is expanding, and right now, they're selling bricks to make it happen.
In total, they've raised nearly $10,000 toward an $80,000 goal as part of expansion.
The brick fundraiser will help pay for things like landscaping, benches and a water-line. Organizers say their goal is to start laying out the bricks by the end of the year.
Organizers hope it goes faster now that the park's open. People can buy a brick and have their business advertised. Now that the park is done, people can come out and see what they've been donating for.
If you enjoy Walden Pond Apartments, pet friendly apartment homes, and are interested in buying a brick, you have until September 30. For more information go to lynchburgdogpark.com/Pages/GivingLevels.aspx
The dog park is also looking for more volunteers. They will have a training session Wednesday night from 6 p.m. -7:30 p.m. at the Miller Center off Grove St. in Lynchburg.
