fall decor

We’re getting ready to welcome fall in Lynchburg! It’s one of our favorite times of the year and we can’t wait for pumpkin picking, football, and crunchy leaves. We’re also looking forward to all the fall décor! We compiled our top fall décor trends to try in your apartment home:

Layer on Layer: Fall is all about being cozy as temperatures start to dip. Elle Décor recommends layering décor accessories such as rugs, throws, and pillows can instantly make a space feel cozier. Opt for trendy fall patterns like plaid, jewel tones such as emerald greens and sapphire blues, and chunky fabrics.

Pumped About Pumpkins: Nothing says fall like pumpkin – whether it’s the mounds of pumpkins outside the stores or the pumpkin spice lattes brewing in our favorite coffee houses.  But did you know pumpkins are an easy item to use for decorating? Apartment Therapy says that white pumpkins are a must-try fall décor trend as they easily go with any existing color scheme.

Vintage Arrangements: As leaves change from green to shades of yellow and red, bringing some of that color indoors can easily brighten your apartment home. Country Living suggests finding vintage food tins to use for vases and filling them with fall flowers. Using flowers that keep their shape and color when they dry can help keep your space bright all season long!

At Walden Pond, we believe it’s how you live that matters and hope these décor tips for the new season help you enjoy the fall in your apartment home. If you have your own apartment décor tips, share them with us on our Facebook page!
