  |     |   Lifestyle

All Hallow’s Eve will be here soon and it’s one of our favorite times of the year! Aside from all the costumes and candy, Halloween is the perfect reason to throw a party.

We believe it’s how you live that matters at Walden Pond and seeing residents celebrate together make sus happy. Do you want to plan a party, but not sure where to start?

Don’t fear! We’re here to help and share our top tips for a scary good Halloween gathering.

Terrifyingly Fun Table Settings

Whether you’re having a casual gathering with snacks, a buffet, or a more formal Halloween-themed dinner, you tablescape sets the mood for the event. Good Housekeeping recommends using dark plates and mixing them up with Halloween crafts to delight your guests. We couldn’t agree more!

DIY Decorating

Halloween is as much about the decorating as the party itself. You can go wild and really have fun with some over-the-top décor. The best part, though, is that it’s easier and quick. HGTV has a ton of great DIY decorating projects. Everything from mummies and skeletons to pumpkins and ghosts!

Don’t Forget About the Kids

Although Halloween is a time of celebration for everyone, kids often have a special connection to the holiday. Planning a Halloween party exclusively for children or incorporating them into a larger gathering doesn’t have to be a frightening proposition. Better Homes and Gardens has some great tips, such as selecting a kid-friendly theme. Who wouldn’t love a spooky magical forest or a not-too-scary monster-themed bash?

We hope you have a great Halloween!
